Technology & IT Relocation in San Antonio, Server Moves Done Right

Moving your San Antonio business to a new office? Your technology, servers, switches & network equipment is not furniture, and a moving company should not be the one disconnecting and reconnecting IT. ASAP Computer Services handles full-service commercial IT relocation and technology moves across San Antonio: we map and document everything before the move, safely transport your servers, switches, and sensitive IT equipment in our own enclosed fleet, build out the new space, and have you live the morning you open the doors. Hundreds of networks moved and commissioned since 1999. Call 210-497-1424 or tell us about your move below.

Why a Technology Move Is Not a Furniture Move

Standard commercial movers are good at desks and chairs. They are not the people you want handling servers, switches, firewalls, and the sensitive IT equipment your entire business runs on. Data equipment needs specialized handling, careful documentation, and a plan for coming back online, and when it does not get that, you open the new office to a week of downtime and a network nobody can untangle. A certified IT team plans the move so the technology is the easy part, not the disaster. That is the whole reason this service exists.

Document First, Move Second

The move succeeds or fails before a single cable is unplugged. We document the existing environment completely: every cable labeled, every switch port mapped, every server and device recorded, with photos and diagrams so the new space becomes an exact, improved copy of the old one. Nothing gets pulled until we know precisely where it goes back. This is the step furniture movers skip and the step that decides whether day one is smooth or chaos.

How a Commercial IT Relocation Works With Us

  • Pre-move mapping and documentation. We walk both spaces, inventory and label everything, map switch ports and cable runs, and produce the plan the entire move follows.
  • New space buildout. While you are still in the old office, we can rack, cable, and prepare the new space: IT racks, structured cabling, wireless access points, and power, ready and tested before move day.
  • Planned maintenance window. We schedule the physical move for a window that minimizes downtime, usually after hours or over a weekend, so your team leaves one office working and arrives at another working.
  • Safe transport in our own fleet. Your servers, switches, and sensitive IT equipment ride in our own enclosed cargo trailers, handled by the technicians who will reinstall them, not tossed in a box by a stranger.
  • Commissioning and day-one go-live. We reinstall, reconnect, test, and verify every system, then stand by on your first morning so the new office opens ready to work.

A Fleet Built for the Job

Most IT companies that offer relocations rent a truck or hand the hauling to the movers. We run our own fleet of six enclosed cargo trailers, which means your sensitive IT equipment is transported by our team, on our schedule, under our control, from the old rack to the new one. For a large move, six trailers means we can stage and sequence the whole relocation in a single coordinated window instead of dragging it across days. It is the kind of capability you cannot fake, and most of our competitors do not have it.

New Space Buildout, Done Right

A relocation is the best moment to fix everything that was wrong with the old setup. As an RCDD-led company, we build the new space to standard: structured cabling with documented, labeled terminations, properly mounted IT racks, engineered wireless coverage, and clean power. You do not just move the old network; you arrive with a better one, tested and documented before you unlock the front door.

Start These Early, Before Move Day

A few things cannot wait until the last week, and we flag them the moment you engage us:

  • Call your internet provider 60 days out. A new commercial fiber circuit often gets held up by construction, and nothing sinks an opening day like a new office with no internet. This is the single most common thing businesses leave too late.
  • Back up everything first. Before a single machine is unplugged, we run a full, isolated backup of your servers and workstations, so the move can never cost you data.
  • Confirm your admin passwords. Firewalls, switches, routers, and domain controllers: we verify you actually have the administrative credentials before anything is disconnected, because chasing a lost password on move day is a nightmare we prevent.

Who You Are Working With

We have moved and commissioned hundreds of San Antonio networks over the years, from small office relocations to multi-rack moves with dozens of users. ASAP Computer Services is a BICSI RCDD-led IT and structured cabling company in business since 1999, with our own fleet, our own technicians, and our name on every job. One accountable local team from the first walkthrough to day-one go-live. Call 210-497-1424.

Where This Fits

Many relocations are also the right moment to rethink who runs your IT. If you are moving and reconsidering your provider, see our honest guide to changing IT companies. And if you want the new environment watched and managed after move day, that is our managed IT services.

Planning an office move? Start the conversation early, because the best relocations are planned weeks ahead, not days. Two things help us scope it fast: roughly how many servers, workstations, and users are moving, and whether the new space already has network cabling or needs it installed.
